Need specs for an older Speedaire on our dry fire system in Alaska

by Butch
(Sparta, NC)

We need a new compressor to connect to our dry fire system and trying to get a good price in Alaska takes some research. All we can find on the current Speedaire compressor is Model # BT 198E.00M. Can you help me with the specs.

Speedaire compressor Blows Breaker

I have a Speedaire by Dayton Model 13788 2H.P. Do you have a service rep in the Cincinnati, Ohio area.

Bill says...

Hi Bette Dean, and thanks for writing in.

I don't have a service rep anywhere. I just publish an information website about compressors.

However, Speedaire may.

Please go to the Speedaire link from the nav bar, and follow the guidelines to find a local rep.

I hope you put your email address into the "I want to know if I'm published" box. That's the only reason the system asks for your email address. If you don't, then you won't know that I've answered, will you?

I removed your email address and phone number from this posting.

Also, if you haven't read the questions and answers at the bottom of the page, you're missing some tips on checking out the problem on your own.

Cheers,

Bill

Speedaire 5F237G

by Clay Mason
(Middletown, DE)

I havent used this portable unit in a while (6 mo.) It seems a little loud. How can I lubricate this unit? Bought it from Grainger about 5 - 8 years ago. Probably the last time I saw the paper work that came with it.

Thanks,
Clay
________________
Clay, your model number does not work at Grainger, I cannot find a photo of this unit anywhere, so, I cannot comment as to how to lube it.

If you take a couple of photos of the pump, one from each side, and upload them in a new post, I might be able to help.

Cheers,

Bill
