my small durabuilt compressor will not pump air into tank.

the air is coming out of the inlet port, instead of pumping it into the tank.like it rversed itself.

Rudy, I doubt very much that the compressor has reversed itself. I think, instead, that the intake valve has failed, and the piston, as it reciprocates, is simply drawing air in and then blowing it back out the path of least resistance, which is where air always flows.
