my ingersol rand rotery screw2w compressor - wiring issue

I have a Ingersoll Rand up6-15c-125 air compressor with a 100-c60d01 allen bradly starter. A ingersol rand service repair man told me to replaced the .starter because of a no starting problem. I did replace the starter but while doing so a small round (capacitor?) that was just wired into the starter wiring came off and I didn't note which wires it was wired into because I didn't plan on taking it off. Can anyone help me with what wires to connect to?
