My Grandpa gave me this old air compressor, and I was curious if someone might be able to help me. I was wanting to know what size tank it is, and also, what it might be worth on a craigs list or a garage sale.

The motor still runs great, but there is a tiny pin hole in the bottom of the tank (caused from sitting water over time), and according to my grandpa, may be difficult to patch weld. Any info or advice at all would be much appreciated.

Thank you!!

I have an old air compressor like yours. It sat in an old falling down garage for years. Over the years the undrained water caused pin holes in the tank. I sanded the area to clean off the rust then sanded again with 80 grit paper. Then I scored the area with a file and cleaned the area with brake cleaner. I patched the area with J B weld and let it sit for a couple days. The patch has lasted 4 yrs.

Generally unsafe to "patch" an air tank, unless you can pressure test it. NOT with air, water.

As to the value, you can probably get $100 easy for the motor, can't tell about the pump: no plate picture.
