I GOT A EMGLO AIR COMPRESSOR USED FROM MY NEPHEW, IT WAS USED ON A JOB, THE COMPRESSOR CUTS BACK AT 40 PSI, WHEN YOU DRAIN THE AIR OFF IT COMES BACK ON LIKE ITS SUPOSE TO. HOW DO I CHANGE MY AIR COMPRESSOR TO STAY ON UNTIL 120 PSI.

Glynn, the question I have is what were the cut out and cut in pressures before the unit started cutting out at 40 PSI?

Assuming that at one time your compressor would run up to, say, 120 PSI, stop, drain down to 80 PSI and kick on again, and it's not doing so now, tells me that you don't need an adjustment of your pressure switch settings, you likely need a new pressure switch.

Cheers,

Bill
