My compressor shorts out when I try to start it

Hi Dorothy. When you say the compressor shorts out, do you mean that something happens at the compressor and the fuse or breaker pops?

If the compressor is shorting then being near it when that happens isn't good. If it's popping the breaker though, it may not be shorting necessarily.

Could you please dump all the air from the tank and then try to start it again?
