My compressor cuts out after a few minutes

please what happens to my compressor, that it goes off when i press the 1-minute relay switch, i have a CompAir C115-12 model

Hi Kunmi:

While I can't be sure due to the lack of detail, from the sound of it, I would guess that your air compressor is turning off on thermal overload.

If this is happening, it is caused by your compressor motor overheating, and that's normally caused by a failing motor, or the motor is being overloaded due to a problem in the power train.
