my compressor builds up presure then releases some then biulds it back up

it will not quit doing this it should build up pressure and hold it right? not release some till the compressor kicks back on its very annoying I have to unplug the unit to make it stop running thanks in advance don

Hi Don. I've moved this question over to the Valve question page, as what you are listing as the symptoms indicate to me that it's likely a check valve that's the problem.

Go to the Valve page, click the link to the Check Valve page, and have a read. I think what you find there will help solve this compressor problem.
