My compressor blows the circuit breaker.

Hello Bob. Thanks for visiting this website and for taking the time in.

Bob, did you get a chance to read the questions and answers posted at the bottom of the 'Compressor Blows Breaker' page? Pretty much everything that could cause the compressor to pop a breaker has been covered.

Questions that you need to answer are;

  • is this a new plug receptacle or the one you have been using all the time?

  • is the "blowing a breaker" a new issue, or is it you just got the compressor and it's blown the breaker every time you've tried to turn it on?

  • any possible shorts in the power cord itself?



Have a look at all the other reasons noted at the end of the page will you.

If none of these work, send in another question telling me what you have checked so far, OK?
