Peters, at the risk of stating the obvious, if your compressor is shutting down due to a thermal overload, then you must take steps to prevent the overheating from occurring.

I am not familiar with the compressor you list, in part, since I don't know the brand or the HP.

More information is needed before a diagnosis can be attempted, though I suspect that what you may need is a local compressor repair person to have a look at yours.
