Model 5z036 motor stalls at 30 psi.

Unable to read nameplate.

Is this motor dual wired for 120/240?

It is currently hard wired for 120 vac.

Could there be a rotation issue?

Don,
First, has this thing been working where it is, or have you acquired it and you are trying to get it running? Use the site map to find the troubleshooting section and check what's listed there for your problem.

Answering your questions -

You say:(I say)

Unable to read nameplate. (bummer. You mean the motor plate?))

Is this motor dual wired for 120/240? (Possibly, is there a wiring diagram under a plate at or near where the wires enter the motor?)

It is currently hard wired for 120 vac. (How can you tell? You mean you have it hooked up to 120?)

Could there be a rotation issue? (Not likely, if it's wired for 120, but possible if it's really set for 208/230.)
