Missing parts on my 3z180b

Should there be some kind of check valve between the pump and the tank to keep the air from leaking from the tank after shutting off the pump? Does anyone have a complete parts breakdown of the 3z180B?

Thanks,
Brian

Brian, this pump is still supplied by Grainger, so they should be able to provide you with parts breakdowns.

Typically, the tank check valve is located where the line from the pump head enters the tank. It's part of that fitting.

...is just the pump.

It looks like it has a centrifugal unloader.

As Bill said, there should be a check valve at or very close to the tank.

Can you ID the whole unit?

Where can I find parts for this model. I know it was built by Champion for Speedaire?

Try your local Grainger or Grainger's website for Speedaire compressor manuals.

How did you find out you had a lot of oily water in the line to the tank, please?

Please respond as a comment to this thread.

Speedaire 3Z180 Pump

Speedaire 3Z180 Pump

The finned pipe that appears to like an exhaust pipe from top of head to tank with check valve inline.

Have a leak that leaks air as tank is filled, when reaches its 175 lbs of tank pressure and shuts down, release head pressure it stops.

Need to replace or repair?

The finned lines are built that way as heat exchangers, Charles.

You say you have a leak but I can't tell from your post where that leak is.

There is another post here about air escaping from the 3Z180, please have a look at it to see if it helps.

Otherwise, add a comment here about where the leak is, please.

Bill
