miller 2000 14G AIR BRUSH that has never been used.

When i plug it in it takes about 10 seconds to trip the breaker.

With the belt off the pump the motor runs non stop.

The pump turns freely but with the belt connected to the motor--no go.

Please help.

THANKS IN ADVANCE, Pete

Running hot is to be expected, I think.

As long as there's no smoke or major burning smell, it's probably OK.

Kinda makes me wonder about the original circuit you plugged into, though.

I plugged my miller 2000 (about 30 years old - never used) into the outlet my garage refrig was plugged into. It now continues to run and I was able to use it, but the motor does get pretty hot. Pete

What are the specs on the motor? Mainly, voltage a frequency (HZ).

Have you used it before?
