Mastercraft 8 Gal air compressor won't run?

When I turn on the switch it just click and no reaction from the motor as if the motor is stuck up.

Not using an extension cord? Power source to the air compressor is clean? Empty all air from the tank and try again.

When you turn it on, I'm assuming this is an on/off switch we are talking about, are you hearing anything from the pressure switch?

Can you check with a multi-meter and see, after the tank is empty and the switch is on, if there is power running from the pressure switch to the motor? In other words, has the pressure switch tripped to on?
