Mastercraft 26 ga compressor will not build pressure over 60psi

compressor will run to approx 60 psi then stop. drain off air and compressor will not cut back in.

After draining air, turning switch off and waiting a few mins, unit will eventually cut in and pump to 60psi again. same procedure then repeats itself.

I have purchased and installed new Lefoo LF10 switch, with no change. I have adjusted the setting screws on the new switch, with no improvement.

This unit is only two years old.

HELP!

That the compressor stops at 60 isn't the issue I don't think, JD.

The issue is that the compressor motor seems to be stopping based on thermal overload. That is, the motor is getting too hot to run and shuts itself down.

If that is the case, has anything changed in the power supply to the compressor that may have caused this issue?

If not, see the page on this site about checking capacitors. In the absence of any pump mechanical issues, the overheating motor suggests to me that you are experiencing a run capacitor failure so I recommend that you test yours.
