Need a manual/parts schematic for a model 919.71752 air compressor

Made in the USA but sold in Canada by Sears. .It is a 2 HP with a twin cylinder compressor and a 20 gallon US tank (17 gal IMP or 76 Liters) Drew blanks on Sears parts direct site and calls to Sears Canada.

This is an older compressor as it was sold by Simpson Sears Canada (before they became just Sears Canada). It works great but I need the manuals.

PS I think the compressor head is installed 180 degrees off. The air outlet should be on the other side for a straight shot down to the tank.

Head backward?

If you can believe this:

then from your description, probably so.

I can't see how it's run on yours, but might be an effort to allow cooling air more before going to the tank.

Does it work?

spare parts for a craftsman model # 919-155730 needed - anyone help?

by Gregg

Need head gasket and piston ring. all other parts appear to be good. Compressor just quit building pressure over a short time span. piston ring missing some material. Also, when it fisrt began giving problems, the little spring actuated relief valve on the side of the head was not sealing off. you would have to hold your finger over the hole until it built up enough pressure to keep it closed.
