leaks thru pressure switch

builds pressure up to 25 or so pounds....shut it off and pressure dcreases....leak is defitely from pressure switch

Nope, it's not, Harry. The air is likely coming out of the unloader valve that is often right beside the pressure switch.

However, it's not an unloader valve leak, it's likely a check valve leak. See CHECK VALVE for more details about what and where it is on your compressor.
