leaking pressure by the end of the day

My air pressure is leaking air pressure. When I start my compressor and it builds the pressure fine, but by the end of the day it has leaked out. Please advise.

Thank you,

Well Barry, it seems pretty clear from your post that your air compressor has a leak somewhere. Finding it is the challenge.

The first thing to do is let the compressor fill to cut off, and then feel around the unloader valve to be sure air isn't bleeding out there. If it is, then you likely need to clean or replace for tank check valve.

If air isn't bleeding out of the unloader valve, unplug your air line from the discharge coupler after the compressor has filled, and see if the pressure drops again. If so, soap all the fittings on the discharge plumbing to see if there is a leak there. If there is no leak on the discharge plumbing, then your leak will likely be somewhere downstream from the discharge coupling.

Let us know as a comment here what you find.

Cheers,

Bill
