Tank Lose air from the air filter

by Nuno Sarmento
(Lisbon, Portugal)

Hi,

I have just aquire a used jun air compressor model 3. Everything seems to work fine I turn it on the compressor start to increase pressure up to 8 bars then turns off automaticly, but then start to loose pressure, I figure out that the air is coming of fron the air filter... is this normal? is it supose the air to go back when the compressor engine is not running?

A help would be very apreciated,

Regards,
Nuno

Nuno, if the air is leaking from the intake air filter, then the intake valve is likely the problem.

If the air is leaking from the unloader valve, then it's likely the check valve that is the problem.

Cheers,

Bill

Andrew, it's worth what someone will pay. I'm happy to post this. Jun-Air is an excellent make of very quiet air compressors, and I would be surprised if no one posted a request for more info from you.

Since you are in Glasgow, of course, shipping costs come into the picture.

Good Luck.

Bill

Thanks Bill

Ive heard there good , when i listed on ebay i put postage as £50 and would have sent on a pallet im not sure if that would have covered it but the compressor is dear enough without adding to much postage to it.
