Is the C2002 regulator piston standard?

I have a C2002 type 3 air compressor by porter cable. The piston inside the regulator broke. It's just a cheap, plastic black ring, with a valve stem. Porter cable will only sell the whole manifold for more than $44, which is ridiculous. There's other regulator repair kits that have a piston that looks at least similar, if not exactly the same. Is this piston a standard piece, so that I can just buy any repair kit, and just use the piston from it?

Regulator?

Not likely.

If you can figure out who built it, perhaps.

For around that price of 40 bucks, you can build your own from pipe and tees and a regulator. That's what I'd do - from the looks of the parts supply, those things are breaking pretty regularly.

Good luck.
