Guys, this isn't the type of thing that can be addressed on a website, unless it's IR's.

I suggest you take your problem to the manufacture.

Cheers,

Bill

Howdy, and thanks for writing in. I'd be delighted to try and answer, but first, I need to know the compressor orifice from which the oil is dumping.

Thanks,

Bill

Ingersoll Rand SSR UP6-5 oil getting on air filter and coating the inside of the air filter housing

by Lisa
(Munster, IN, USA)

My business has an Ingersoll Rand SSR UP6-5 60 Hz air compressor. Just recently I noticed oil coating the inside of the air filter housing including the screw cap and the filter has a slight coating as well. Any ideas?

Inlet valve
by: Carls421

Hi,
A common problem when this happens is what they call a "lazy inlet valve" this is when the compressor goes off load, the inlet valve should immediately close, if it doesnt close quick enough it causes an amount of oil to go up the air intake the wrong way, after some time the air filter will get soaked in oil.

This can also happen if the compressor is stopped either by the emergency stop or isolator whilst the compressor is on load. If you do have a lazy inlet valve it can easily be fixed by having it serviced.
Hope that helps

Carl

Type of oil for Ingersoll Rand G 150

by Joshua
(Mexico)

I've got a 1977 Ingersoll Rand G 150 compressor and we can't figure out what kind of oil to put in the compressor. It looks like the oil in it is red but the hydraulic oil we were sold is brown looking. Any ideas? Thanks,
Josh
