Ingersoll SS-5 Compressor won't build pressure above 120 psi

Slow to build pressure

Won't build pressure above 120 psi and takes a long time to get to that

Thought it was the pressure switch (90-135), jacked with the switch until I became convinced I had it too far out of
adjustment to hit the shut-off

Replaced same with (90-125), still have the problem

Getting a little puff of air from the intake filter so suspect it is an intake valve.

Yahoo, tear down?

Yup. Check the valves and for a leaky internal gasket too.
