Ingersoll Rand T30 5HP 230 volts Air Compressor (Phases:1; Hertz 60)

Above air compressor recently began making a "snapping" sound when machine starts running. What could be causes??????? Serious, not serious . . . thanks!!!

By Roberts, that's a tough one.

It "snaps" once, makes a series of snapping noises, the sound comes from the pressure switch, the belt, the compression head...hmmmm, I'm afraid I'll need a bit more info before I can provide any advice. Sorry.
