Ingersoll Rand EPE 25 shuts down but never comes back on.

Hi Bill, I'm working with a Ingersoll Rand EPE 25 and Intellisys System.

A few months ago it started shutting down, with the auto start light on, but never came back on. A few times since then it has operated properly but most of the time not.

I use on/off line so the compressor usually runs all day loading and unloading as needed. It just don't do that anymore.

I checked the pressure regulator and found the ground wire to be faulty at the unit and replaced it. I re-calibrated the system and ran it only to get a high air temp alarm. It will load and unload, but sometimes it just shuts down with no code and the auto restart button on.

No rhyme or reason. Also, it seems the intellisys hangs while reading "Air Pressure Output".

Given the bad ground wire, I'd be giving the whole electrical system(s) a once-over for mechanical flaws.

Verify power supply is correct.

If nothing turns up externally, on into the intellisys checking for corrosion or loose connections.

Good luck.
