ingersol 7/41 suddenly stopped and wil not restart

compressor has been running fine and has only 800 hours on clock. Fuel level was ok so was engine oil, compressor oil and water levels.
Suddenly during blasting, compressor shuts down. when key is turned, the injector pump clicks as well as a control box (?) but nothing else. Manual says to start compressor and eliminate safety shut off devices one by one. problem is I can't start the machine to do this!
Any ideas?

David, I'm throwing this one out to the world to see if some expert can help.

I'm thinking that it could be a pressure switch failing, but can't be positive.
