Industrial Series Gold C1523E80V compresser trips breaker.

Industrial Series Gold C1523E80V.

Switched the Baldor M3218T 3 phase motor to a Baldor L1410T Single phase, called Baldor and they advised me this motor would work.

I took this motor and mag starter off of basically the same compressor at my other shop which is working fine.

Upon start up the compressor will run for app. 2-3 minutes then trip 20A breaker. The motor feels like it's too hot also.

I did notice that the pulley size on the replacement motor is 3/4 of an inch smaller also.

Yes, it should work, and yes, it should blow your 20A breaker. (You're sending 230V to it, right?)

That motor is 23FLA, so you need a bigger breaker and possibly larger wire to it, depending on the distance of the run.
