If we use 3 machines then Air compressor air get divided?

We have one production line which uses compressed air of 7HP. We use 10HP 300 Ltrs air compressor? but i want to ask whether the compressed air is getting divided?

Hello Girish.

Compressed air will always flow from high pressure to low, and take the fastest path as it tries to get back to atmosphere pressure levels.

If you have machinery plumbed in series from the air compressor, and the first machine in the sequence uses more air, then the bulk of the compressed air will flow to that machine.

If the first machine uses up as much air as the compressor can produce, then no air, or very little, will flow further down the line to the other equipment.

This is why you want to plumb your air mains in a ring.
