Jun Air 6-25 air compressor

I have a Jun-Air 6-25 compressor and oil carry-over into my equipment is a problem. I see I can obtain oil free jun air motors, is it straightforward to swop this motor in for the on I already have?

Thanks

Ken, that you want an oil-free motor doesn't mean that the compressor pump will run oil-free.

The 6-25 series is an oil-lubricated pump, and in order for it to work, it needs to have oil.

If oil is carrying over into the air stream, it seems to me that you need to first, replace the piston seal as that's likely how the oil is getting into the tank, and second, add a coalescent air filter downstream from the general purpose filter to strip oil out of the air stream.

Cheers,

Bill

I suspect what you are asking is whether you can replace your 6-25 compressor with an oil-free model.

If you'd rather not fix your present compressor, then by all means, go ahead and replace it. Saving size considerations, the new one should "drop right in".
