I need to increase the cut in pressure

by Mark Rose

My compressor has 150ltr tank and has a max operating pressure of 10bar so it charges to 8 bar and cuts out and then cuts in when it gets down to 4 bar

I am running a Laser cable printing machine which requires a 5 bar supply.

my problemis when the pressure drops below 5 bar the laser machine stops until the pressure is above 5 bar so I have a period where I have to either bleed the system so as to get the copmessor to cut in and re-charge.

Is there anyway I can increase the cutin pressure to 5 bar?

Yes, there is. It's done by adjusting the cut in and cut out pressures from inside the pressure switch.

The downside is that your air compressor has been set up to run correctly at the pressures the pressure switch is currently set at.

By adjusting those settings, you run the risk of changing the life expectancy of your air compressor.

See the PRESSURE SWITCH page for more info.

Cheers,

Bill
