Looking for a manual and I need to figure out the wiring for the motor6 mfg date Sanborn 2 stage 60 gal 5hp 021 0026

1986 mfg date Sanborn 2 stage 60 gal 5hp 021 0026

I bought this compressor new from Sams club in 1986, it has been great.

The plastic product label on the left just below the compressor pump is 100% washed out, nothing left, just white, from too much sun and years.

The compressor is 100% identical to the compressor in the photo above to the right on this website right above this section. Even the yellow triangle sticker on the lower right front is the same.

One difference is mine was not labeled black max on the big sticker on the front, just Sanborm industrial.

The metal tag on the tank says Sanborn, its 80 gallon, 5 hp single phase, Model 021 0026.

I am looking for a manual, and I wanted to ID the compressor pump, and I need to figure out the wiring for the motor. The main check valve on top of the tank failed where the tank pressure feeds back into the pump, and starting under load overloaded the contactor relay. Also with the main check valve bad the little pressure relief valve on the pressure sensing switch, also failed, so it was the perfect storm for making the motor draw a lot of amps on start up, and the relay burned up badly.

The motor is a 5HP Century, part # 6-353250-40, Type CS, 3500 rpm's, single phase, 5HP, if that helps on the wiring, the motor has 3 wires coming out of it. I need to figure out how to wire it up. The motor is the original, and I have had trouble finding any information on the motor or its wiring anywhere. Send any info to oakme2 at aol dot com. Thanks.
