I need an on off switch for a Sears 1979 2 hp 240 volt compressor

My sears compressor is Model 919.15678.

First the compressor over pressured and the relief went. The belt started to slip. I turned it off. Then it would not turn on again. I dropped the pressure below the stat pressure and unplugged it. It started and then had to be turned off because it was headed to high pressure again. Now it wont turn on at all. This switch presser sensitive valve is bad.

Hi Brian. I am happy to post this for you. If I understand correctly, your pressure switch is failing or has failed?

You can install any pressure switch on your air compressor that has either adjustable, or the same cut in and cut out pressure levels of your existing pressure switch, and, one that fits the footprint of your existing switch, and one that interfaces with your unloader valve.

What is the make of the present switch?
