I need a manual as I have a problem with a speedaire air compressor

I need a parts book or breakdown on a speedaire compressor # 2Z499B after the compressor builds up to pressure, I can hear air escaping out of the crankcase vent near the crankshaft flywheel, I am assuming it must have a check valve between the compressor and tank or built in the compressor someplace, I need a schematic or drawing of this compressor or a # I can call and talk to a repair service.

Ien, the logical place to start is with Speedaire. If you haven't contacted them, follow the Speedaire button from the Nav bar for guidelines.

Next, contact a repair depot to help. There are some listed on the Repairs page.

I've posted this for you in the hope that a visitor can help by posting a response to your questions.

Cheers,

Bill

Check valve
by: Bruce Wrenn

The check valve (where air line from compressor enters the tank) is most likely leaking, along with the exhaust valve in the compressor. The check valve can be replaced with a "Load Genie." It is both a check valve and unloader.

I am delighted that d crawford has offered you these manuals though I do want you to know that he/she has nothing to do with www.about-air-compressors.com.

Cheers,
