Old compressor pump

I just got this from my grandpa and would like to know what are the operating presser and CFM. also thinking I should change the oil. When it fills up its like it de-strokes the pump. The motor never shuts off. motor is 220V or 120V and runs at 1750 RPM

any information would be great.

Unloaders
by: Roger

This pump has unloaders which hold open the intake valves to stop the compressor from pumping without shutting off the motor. Usually used in a high demand application where excessive start/stop cycles would be hard on the motor.

The flywheel says Swan compressor to me, but the tag might be more informative.

destrokes?

Ya mean it gets to some pressure and just keeps running?

What pressure? Could be the pressure switch is bad.

The oil should be fairly clear. If not, you can change it with big-box compressor oil.

Do NOT use automotive oil.
