I have a tank and compressor with afailed regulator

by Clarenc M Ross Jr
(Millington, TN USA)

Can I completely remove the regulator and replace it with another? There are 2 gauges. It is difficult for me to tell where they monitor the air. The compressor is a sears model and was used for spray painting. I want to use the compressor for air tools and filling tires on Autos, motprcycles. I went to a sears repair center and sears was unable to obtain the regulator and/or gauges. In addition they were not able to tell me who made the contraption.

Yes, sure you can change out the existing regulators for new ones. Follow the guidelines on the pages here.

Choose the same mount style and same pressure range.

Usually the regulator gauge closest to the discharge coupling is the pressure level for the downstream air that goes to your application.

Cheers,

Bill
