I bought a husky model vt631505aj compressor from home depot about 2 years ago. It has sat in my shop since then unused. i went to use it and the oil fill plug is not in the bag with a few other parts that came with the unit. I did not get an owners manual with the unit. Can you tell me what i need to get and where to get it.

Oil capacitor of vt631505aj

I'm going to guess 8-12" though I don't have the manual and have no way to check.

However, this compressor has a sight glass to show the oil level. As you add the oil, watch the sight glass and fill the oil to the center of the sight glass window.

Measure the hole size in inches. Go to the Fittings / NPT page and see the chart that shows the inch size NPT equivalents. Visit your higher end plumbing store and purchase a brass plug that same size.

My guess is that it will be 1/8 NPT, Bobby, but cannot be sure until the hole size is measured and compared to the NPT chart.
