Husky compressor starts fine, then bogs down

My 1 year old Husky compressor, 30 gal vertical has been running perfect until a week ago. Mind you it get used about once a week.

Starts out perfect, nears 50psi and slows to the point it won't build pressure and the belt slips.

Intake filter clean?

Good power supply, nothing pulling power from the same circuit and not using an extension cord?

As the pressure in the tank grows, so too does the load on the motor. They are designed to overcome that increasing load, but not if something else is adding to it as well. We need to find out what that other thing is.
