Husky compressor motor won't start

I have a 60 gallon Husky compressor that worked fine until I hard wired it to a disconnect box instead of plugging it into a dryer plug.

It has power on both legs before and after the pressure switch in the on position and no power to the motor when the pressure switch is in the off position.

So the switch is working properly, but the motor will not start.

Any suggestions.

Sounds like somehow. both sides are on the same half of the supply.

If you measure across the two hot legs, you'll likely see zero volts. Should be 220 or so.

You used a double pole breaker in the panel, right?
