Husky 80 gallon 3 piston air compressor won't build pressure

by Ryan

Builds up to 50 psi instead of the normal 150 psi. One of the heads gets extremely hot compared to the other two. I have also noticed that the head that gets hotter pushes air out of the filter.

Gasket repair
by: Bill

Randy, good on you. A hotted up cylinder/piston often indicates a blown gasket or a valve issue in the compressor pump.

Glad you were able to nail down the problem and fix yours.

Gasket was the problem
by: Randy

Checked to see which cylinder was blowing out intake, too head off and gasket was blown in center. Went to Tractor Supply and bought high temp gasket material, made a new gasket. Worked great. Very quick repair. Four bolts and a one line to take off.
