hummm not start

my heat pump copeland scroll compressor wont start it humm about 3 second how do i check the capacitor

James, since I do not presently know how to advise you to check electric motor capacitors yourself, all you can do is take the motor and capacitors (or the whole compressor) to an electric motor rebuild shop for a motor test.
