How to hook up air compressor power
on a 80 gallon iron horse air compressor, how does the main power get connected

Hi there. Saying your Iron Horse air compressor has an 80 gallon tank doesn't tell me much.
If it's connecting the wiring, you need to know what the HP of the motor is, and that should give you an indication if it is 120 VAC or 240 VAC.
If your Iron Horse air compressor is 110 VAC, it normally would come complete with a power cord that would plug into a standard outlet.
I suspect that since you are asking the question, your compressor is 220 VAC, and so I have one for you. Do you have a 220 VAC power supply to where you are using your air compressor?
If so, you can either rig a heavy duty cord with a 220 VAC plug, and install also a 220 VAC outlet, or you can wire the pressure switch directly to a junction box to which your 220 power supply is already connected.
While it is known that grounding yourself with a 110 VAC running through you might kill you, doing so with a 220 VAC current will, for sure, kill you. So if you don't know what you are doing, for goodness sake, spend the bucks to hire an electrician.
Cheers,
Bill
