How to change a belt on Husky h1506F?

belt broke and I need to put new one on but it looks like I need to take somethings aprt to get it on?

Dave, did you get the compressor at Home Depot? Call them and ask where they get their compressors repaired under warranty. Whoever provides that service is the source for the information you are looking for.

Unless I had your air compressor in front of me, I can't see how I would do it either?

Any luck on your Husky repair? I have the same problem. I figured out that you need to remove the cylinder first so you can slip the belt over the piston (because it does not come off easily, it's pressed on). However, the belt (which cost $15)is a real challenge because it has to be stretched over the pulleys. This is the second repair on this compressor. This one has less that 15-20 hours of use. I'll never buy a Husky again. The cost of having it repaired by a service center will be excessive (They want $30 just for an estimate, plus parts and possibly more to fix it). If you haven't already repaired it I would recommend that you save yourself the grief and buy a different one.
