How many amps does an ingersoll rand model SS5L5 pull on start up?

by Dustin
(VA)

I want to know if I can wire this compressor up using a 40A DP breaker and 10 or 8 AWG wire. It's going to be in a garage, so it's safe to say it's never going to be above 60 degrees Celcius.

Hey Dustin, I don't have one of these compressors, so there is no way of me knowing the answer.

The solution to find it is to get the motor HP and serial number, and contact IR.

Here's where to start: www.ingersollrandproducts.com

Or, if someone knows this info and can provide it, please do.

Cheers,

Bill

During unloading process its normal but when it will start to loading it will create a noise from the airend or inlet valve. upon checking theres no oil going to the airend during loading process. the oil from separator runs only in the bypass of thermostatic valve to the oil filter and stop valve only.
