CPF6025 VP Porter Cable air compressor

how do you adjust the regulator on a cpf6025vp compressor?

Compressor Mod: CPF6025VP
Motor Mod: 5KCR49TN2403X.

Compressor motor does not stop. I have not exceeded 130 psi and am leery of going pass this point.

Is there an adjust for the AUTO regulator. The output regulator for the tools can be adjusted. I got this from a relative.

Thanks that seems correct after your message, I let it charge and it seems to cut off at 135/140 and recycles at about 110.

Thank you very much.

According to the specifications I found on line, your compressor has a 110 PSI start and 135 PSI stop pressure switch, John.

If you are pulling the plug or shutting it off at 130 PSI, the tank pressure cannot reach the 135 PSI necessary for the air compressor to shut itself off automatically.

As to this "Is there an adjust for the AUTO regulator" I think the part you refer to here is the pressure switch. This is not a device where you would normally adjust the normal cut in or cut out of the compressor.

Let your air compressor build tank pressure until it reaches the normal cut out at 135 PSI. If it continues to build pressure well past that setting, say another 5-10 PSI more than 135 PSI, then I would suggest it's time to replace the pressure switch.
