How do i get oil out of my lines?.

Is there something that i can put in my tank to clean out large amount of oil residue that is in lines and tank? I think i put to much oil in it and it bypassed into the tank. Thanks

Hi Darren. You need to run your compressor long enough to get the free oil out of your tank and lines.

Or, remove the tank from the compressor completely and use a thinner to wash the oil out the drain valve. Use extreme caution as thinners are flammable.

After you reassemble, if oil is still in the lines and will be a problem to your air appliances, install a coalescent filter to get the remainder of the oil out of the air line.
