Hittachi gas compressor twin tank builds pressure runs good and for no reason at all shuts off every about 2 min and have start it again

pressure then alll of a Auden now evry two to four min it just shuts off dies and we have to keep restarting it ?!!

I am no expert on gas powered compressors, as really, what they need is a mechanic to work on them if there is a power problem.

It sounds to me as though you may have a throttle problem, or, it might be a pressure switch failing, and cutting the motor.

When it cuts out, is the pressure at or near the cut out level where it unloads, or does the pressure not even get there?

Any mechanics out there want to take a stab at this?
