hitachi gas powered compressor wont build passed 60. used to build up an then cycle down. replaced black tube to valve. no different

Changed the black tube and fittings. Made no difference.

Howdy JB. Regardless of whether an air compressor is powered by an electric motor or a gas motor, and compressor pump can have problems like yours.

Typically, the intake valve starts to fail, the pressure valve too, or a gasket lets go at the pressure level the compressor won't go past.
