Hitachi EC-12 compressor

When i plug it in it will run for a few seconds than it blows the breaker

Not much to go on here. Do this. Unplug the compressor. Open the drain on the tank and make sure there is no air in the tank at all, then shut the drain.

Plug it back in, and flip the switch to ON if there is an ON/OFF switch.

What happens?
