hitachi ec12 compressor will not start with pressure over 30 psi simply pops breaker.

Check valve looks good reset pressure regulator to start at 40 psi and stop at 100 psi

Dom, if you aren't sure about what the unloader valve does, have a read of that page, linked from the site map.

When the compressor gets up to cut out pressure, do you hear the unloader dump air? If not, that might be the issue.

When you say... "reset pressure regulator to start at 40 psi and stop at 100 psi", I'm taking that to mean the pressure switch?
