High air temp light on my Quincy QT-5
by Dave

Lately, my high air temp light is not allowing the compressor to run. I have a separate electrical panel box that this light is on, with start and stop buttons. It's not that hot inside the room. This is the first time that it won't just reset and turn back on...any thoughts?

Bill says....Dave, am I understanding correctly that the high temp light comes on when the compressor is running, and that shuts it down, and it won't restart?
I doubt it's the light that is the problem, but a high temperature cut out of some kind. If that is the case, your compressor motor may be running hot, and that's what is causing the thermal cut out.
It's not the light, it's either something to do with the panel / cut out wiring, or the compressor is overheating from the sounds of it.
Good luck.
