Help with a new Speedaire 35WC83

by U Patel
(Vernon Hills, IL)

1. I just bought a new 35WC83 Speedaire, 2 stage, 175 psi, 80 gal, 5 HP air compressor for my job. I can not find the owner's manual, if anyone could help me please.

2. Instead of 175 psi, how can I adjust the max pressure to 150 psi or lower?

3. What is a break-in period? I see a warning sign of "break-in period" attached to the compressor.

I would appreciate all comments.

Regulator?
by: Doug in s.d.ca

When shopping, you'll find many inexpensive regulators and/or filters. These are fine for many uses, but are generally lower pressure rated. You want to be sure that what you get is rated for at least 175PSI.

Source for regulator

Here is a "real" regulator. You can also get a 3/8" filter for upstream of this.

If you shop you can also find lower cost products as well.

Doug, thanks for taking the time for making such a complete response earlier.

Doug, I appreciate your response.

Which one would be a suitable filter / regulator combo for the Speedaire 35wc83?

If there is one, Grainger should have it.

Pressure switch, if yours is adjustable. Why are you interested in doing that? As a rule, don't. Dial down the regulator to the application instead.

Typically 30 minutes at no load - Just open the drain valve. But you might ask Grainger about that, too, while you order the manual
